Wagner's advanced electro-magnetic wave sensor technology has been closely scrutinised by professional wood grading associations and scientists in the industry. It has proven reliable, consistent and much easier to use than conventional contact or pin-type resistance moisture metering.

Conventional contact sensors primarily take surface readings of wood moisture content. Pin-type meters take their measurements at the depth that you have been able to drive the pins . . . and only in a line between the non insulated portion of the pins (often only the tips). This method is subject to many environmental variables that can dramatically affect moisture readings, such as, the temperature of the wood and chemicals in the water trapped within the wood. Such readings must always be corrected for any difference in temperature above or below 70º F.

In contrast, WAGNER Hand-Held Moisture Meters generate a three-dimensional field that penetrates through the surface of the wood and they are virtually unaffected by the temperature of the wood or the surrounding environment.
